Starting the partyStrands Software

  1. Open the 'Programs' section of your computer
  2. Open MyStrands folder
  3. Click the partyStrands icon

Syncronize Your Music

  2. Right-click the partyStrands icon in the task bar
  3. Choose the media player you use
  4. Click 'Synchronize'

Setup and Launch a partyStrands Party

  1. Launch the partyStrands software
  2. Select the language for partyStrands to operate in
  3. Select the correct output:

    'Computer Monitor' — plays party on entire computer screen

    'Extended Monitor' — plays party on the connected displays

Music Options

Choose before partyStrands is started

Watch this training video
  • 'Jukebox Mode' — this option will use the music on the PC, in conjunction with our music recommender, to play music and display the track information on screen
  • 'DJ Mode' — this option will display the track information of music that is played on that particular computer
  • Custom Information — insert your own custom text and photo

Filtering Options

Watch this training video
  • 'No Filter' — anything that is sent will appear on screen
  • 'Default Word List' — partyStrands will star out (****) undesirable words in our current banned words list, as specified by the FCC
  • 'Custom Word List' — add any words to our current banned words list. This is a list words can be added or removed from.
  • 'Content Approval' — the content will show up on the computer but will not be displayed through partyStrands until it is approved.

Voting

Watch this training video
  • 'Track Vote' — by selecting this you will create a vote that the winner of will be added to the playlist
  • 'Custom Vote' — add information on the three options, insert pictures and length of vote
  • Run votes on a timer or select a vote and click 'Run'.

Trivia

Watch this training video
  • 'Custom Trivia'
    • Fill in title, question and answers
    • Select which will be the 'correct answer
  • Run trivia on a timer or select a vote and click 'Run'

Photos

Watch this training video
  1. Click the '+' button
  2. Navigate to the photo you wish to load and select photo
  3. Select 'Upload', this to partyStrands
  4. To remove photos click the 'X' next to the photo

Host Messages

  1. Type desired information in the host message section
  2. Click 'Add' then 'Save'
  3. Add and remove messages throughout the event
